Our recruitment team reviews your application using a transparent rubric. We assess values alignment (35%), delivery potential (30%), availability (20%), ecosystem fit (10%), and references (5%).

The ETHOS Challenge (Leadership Roles)

Country Leaders and Co-Leads demonstrate capability through a short challenge (72-hour deadline). Choose one option that showcases your skills and understanding of ETHOS.

1-page national strategy aligned to ETHOS mission + one framework pillar. Shows strategic thinking and local context understanding.

Micro-Session Recap

Organise and document a 5-10 person session (virtual or in-person). Submit agenda, key outcomes, and follow-up plan.

Translation/Context

Translate and contextualise the ETHOS one-page checklist to your local language and culture. Shows linguistic skill and cultural sensitivity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the entire process take?

From application to active contribution happens promptly. Application review is completed quickly, onboarding is immediate upon acceptance, and orientation sessions run regularly.

Can I apply for multiple roles?

Apply for one role initially. After demonstrating active contribution, you may request to add a second role or transition roles based on capacity and performance.

What if I don't have specific AI governance experience?

Ambassador and some Fellow roles welcome motivated learners. We value diverse perspectives, transferable skills, and genuine commitment. Leadership roles require demonstrated relevant experience.

How is my personal data used?

We collect only necessary data for recruitment and community management. Data is stored securely, shared only with core recruitment team, and processed under GDPR/UK DPA 2018. See ourPrivacy Policy for details.

Can I leave the community or pause my involvement?

Yes, absolutely. Notify your supervisor with reasonable notice. Complete any committed tasks or hand them over. We welcome alumni back anytime. No penalties for respectful transitions.

What support is available if I face challenges?

Multiple support channels: peer buddy, supervisor check-ins, forum/chat community, office hours, and confidential grievance process. We prioritise psychological safety and wellbeing.
